The hip joint needs to be lower than the knee joint.
You have to break parallel
Posted by ThaGuv (820 days ago)
how low down do you need to squat to make it legal?
Posted by stingerbaum (823 days ago)

these videos I'm similar to you in height and weight
i'm 5'9 about 225-230 people always think i'm all about

Awesoem man! Meant to take nothign away from the lifts
casue they are crazy for raw numbers! That video ws
very decieving. Keep bending that bar and 'raising the
bar' for the natural strength guys!!!
Posted by BFJ (830 days ago)
lol, i'd actually made a comment on layne's facebook
wall, although i know he doesn't like making any
excuses, that he hit greater depth on a squat he almost
got at raw unity (with good camera angle) than another
dude who squatted the same weight and it was counted.
ATG w/o a doubt.

Dr. Squat. My video guy, while great at production and
splicing, really didn't know how to get the best angle
to show depth. He was going for dramatic, and it made
it look shallow. So please see that I can handle
plenty of heavy weight to proper depth. Though I don't
have a video of me squatting at that particular meet...
here is me doing 585 in the gym (I did 570 at the
meet). I have never ever received even a SINGLE red
light for squat depth ever. Even at Raw Unity which
has the strictest judging of any meet
going.

XRE

so please don't call my squat depth a joke
:)

love it!

I have to agree with Jeremy, I can assure you that
Layne squats ass to the ground. Jeremy and I were both
there and his squats are anything but shallow. The
video angle doesn't do it justice. :)

Layne and Jeremy showing em how it's gone... Awesome
vid fellas!!!!!
Posted by will-work4ANDRO (831 days ago)
Dr. Squat...the video angle certainly makes it appear
that way..but trust me, all those squats were deep
